Conflict of Interest Scanner
Cross-reference government officials against vendors to detect potential conflicts of interest and related party transactions
How It Works
The scanner compares names of government officials (council members, department heads, and city employees with business interests) against the vendor database. It checks for name matches, shared addresses, and business association overlap. Results include confidence scores indicating the likelihood of a genuine conflict.
Note: The Houston payroll dataset uses anonymized identifiers. For full functionality, add named officials manually via the API or import from public records (council members, appointed officials, etc).
